The Blindfolded Warrior Didn’t Fight Like Anyone Else

A dark fantasy scene depicting a hooded figure with a blindfold, standing commandingly on a battlefield filled with armored knights. The figure emits glowing, magical symbols from their hands, while a chaotic battle unfolds around them, featuring multiple warriors engaged in combat.

At first, Jon thought the armored soldiers were terrifying enough.

Tall.

Silent.

Wrapped in impossible white armor that looked more ceremonial than practical.

Then he saw the blindfolded warrior fight.

And suddenly everyone else looked ordinary.

The soldiers fought like regular people.

The blindfolded warrior didn’t.

He moved too fast.

Too fluid.

Like he could somehow predict every strike before it happened.

He twisted between attacks with impossible precision.

Spun through groups of enemies.

Dropped opponents one after another in movements so smooth they barely looked human.

And then came the magic.

Not glowing fantasy fireworks.

Not soft, beautiful spells.

This was violent.

Raw.

Colored energy ripped through the battlefield surrounded by glowing runes that crackled through the air like something alive.

Sometimes smooth.

Sometimes jagged.

Always dangerous.

Jon didn’t know who the blindfolded warrior was.

But every glimpse of Dragon World seemed to orbit around him.

As though the world itself bent slightly whenever he appeared.

And deep down—

Jon was beginning to suspect that seeing him wasn’t an accident.

  2. Great cliffhanger!

  3. This reminds me of Lord Valentine’s Castle, where the hardest thing to do in the caravan was juggle blindfolded. It’s a whole new world of skill. Your guy is better at it than the juggler in that book.
