It might just be me, but my surface belief seems to spring from my resonant focus–if my focus resonates with hopelessness and despair, then even if I try to convince others (or myself) I am being positive, I feel that inward falsity tearing me up.

However, if I abide in allowance–allow myself to feel whatever naturally arises–negativity comes and goes, and peace and wellbeing re-entrench.

That leads me to believe that peace and wellbeing are default inner states.
