When I focus on stillness and emptiness, I donโ€™t stay empty or stillโ€”a natural wellbeing arises that dispels my negativity.

This is pure speculation, but I believe wellbeing is the foundation of existence, and needs no defense, no justification, no protector, and doesnโ€™t need to be evangelized or made into any form of gospel.ย  I believe it needs no explanation, and can be fully embodied without reaching or grasping for it.ย

I also suspect that lack of seeking, or desire to contain it through labels or structures, may be essential to inviting it into my experience.

  8. The Bible says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Whether or not you are a believer, the sentiment of being still applies, regardless.
That’s part of the trouble with life today. People aren’t able to be still. Maybe that’s why there seems to be so much mental health problems in the modern world.

    1. That’s probably one of my favorite quotes!

Yes, I agree, I think too much of society romanticizes being overstimulated and upregulated.

  9. It comes when it comes. I’m always grateful when I feel it. I try to be aware and savor the moment. You are right. You can’t force it.
