This may sound strange, but when I let everything be whatever it wants to be (instead of trying to outright deny or rationalize away this or that), I can focus better, calm naturally arises from within, and it organically quiets any outward turbulence.

Maybe my internal allowance is somehow fractalizing through a mirrored existence, where over the course of time, it’s revealed that everything is inextricably connected and rippled/reflected from inward states. Or maybe it’s all just coincidence, and we’re at the perpetual mercy of external forces. Short-term cause and effect certainly leans that way.

But when the linearity of time begins falling away, and more seemingly reflective synchronicities appear over the course of my life…I wonder.

  1. Maybe you just need to stop fighting the simulation. 😉

  2. Sounds reasonable to me!

  3. More and more I come to believe that there are no coincidences. Life really isn’t linear. It folds and ripples and slides all over. It’s a mess, really.

I heard recently that wise spiritual teachers say “what you resist, persists”

I think it’s very true. Maybe not completely generalizable to _everything_ but a good aphorism to stay mindful of. Like a Chinese finger trap, to escape you must lean in.

  5. There are so many incredible teachings that explore this facet of existence- synchronicity, manifestation, emptiness. I think that there’s just so much to existence that we’ll never really understand but it’s up to us to give some meaning to it all and try to bring out the best in it.

  6. I really liked this. There’s something freeing about stopping the fight against what we’re feeling and simply allowing it to exist. Whether it’s psychology, coincidence, or something deeper, I’ve also found that acceptance often changes the way the world seems to respond to us.

  7. That’s such a rich reflection—thanks for sharing that. There’s something really powerful in allowing things to be as they are, instead of wrestling with them. It sounds like you’ve tapped into a kind of inner resonance where peace isn’t forced, but *uncovered*.

I love how you put it—like your internal state sends out ripples, and over time, patterns start reflecting back in surprising ways. Whether it’s synchronicity, perception shifting, or some deeper interconnectedness, it’s fascinating how inner stillness can influence outer experience.

  8. Let it come.

  9. Don’t try, wait; as they say.

  10. Thank you for this. . . I keep going back to those simple words . . . “just let everything be what it wants to be”. It seems so deceptively simple and yet it can be so very difficult. xo

  11. A beautiful and thought-provoking reflection. Finding peace by allowing things to simply be is a powerful idea, and your writing invites readers to pause, reflect, and explore their own inner world. Thank you for sharing such meaningful thoughts.
